I was born on the beautiful Island of Cuba, the land of sandy beaches, salsa, tobacco Che Guevara and communism. Leaving Cuba at an early age I settled in the Dominica Republic, where I attended University and trained to be a teacher, before moving to the USA and finally England.
It was during my formative years that I developed the love of learning, for through learning and education we become truly free, able to transcend our fate and in doing so hope for a better future.
It is this same passion for learning that infuses all my lessons, as I take my students on a journey through the vibrant landscape that is Latin America with its diverse cultures and rich musical dialects. Latin Spanish is so much more than just a language, it is an infusion of the spirit, warmth and passion of the Americas.
